ASTT Webinar Number 11.

The ASTT is thrilled to be able to continue on with its webinars in 2021 and once again provide this FREE webinar in lieu of our popular trenchless forums which are presently suspended due to the Coronavirus restrictions.

The webinar will be a presentation by James Gardner, CRC-P Program Manager from Water Services Association of Australia. The webinar is entitled " Smart Linings for Pipe and Infrastructure” and will be held on Thursday 26 August at 11:00am (Eastern Standard Time) and concluding at 12:00pm

Abstract of Presentation
The Smart Linings for Pipe and Infrastructure Project researched the effectiveness of pipeline liners focusing on four product categories: CIPP and polymeric spray liners for water mains and CAC and geopolymers for wastewater assets. 

The project installed products in field trials at utilities, undertook materials testing at universities and sensors to measure key attributes required for quality control were designed, prototyped and field tested. 

The project has delivered a foundation to ready the water industry for the uptake of these products by providing Codes of Practice to detail product installation requirements, Product Standards to provide clear guidance on material requirements to utilities and product manufacturers, and tools to allow efficient decision making when incorporating liners into rehabilitation programs.
